Suzanne Seay, sr. compliance analyst at Currin Compliance Services, obtained her MCM (Market Conduct Management) designation this week. She attended an MCM workshop, put on by IRES and hosted by MetLife at their headquarters in Warwick, RI. The workshop covered all aspects of conducting a Market Conduct exam using best practices, and was attended by regulators and insurers from around the country. “Our Friday the 13th Summer Meeting in Salem was a huge success with record attendance for a summer meeting.
Though our scheduled speaker had to cancel, our own Chapter Member Cailie Currin worked some magic by taking the goliath size topic of Financial Regulation Reform and turning it into a concise and informative presentation.
After our business meeting, speaker and luncheon what better way to end the day than with our networking event - a relaxing one hour harbor cruise aboard the Finback!

The Spring 2010 LHCA Meeting in April was an inspiring couple of days. The participants were enthusiastic about their jobs in compliance. Their interest in ‘getting it right’ was apparent in each session.
The NE Chapter AICP Education Day in May highlighted some of the hot topics in insurance compliance. Cailie’s presentations addressed the new suitability model regulation and the compliance challenges posed by the federal Defense of Marriage Act and various state’s recognition of same-sex relationships under different names.
We were thrilled to receive this note from an organizer at the AICP Education Day in May (which included an invitation to speak at the AICP Annual Conference in Dallas in October.)
