AICP New England Chapter Meeting

Glenda, Cailie, and Sarah at AICP NE Chapter Meeting

Several members of Currin Compliance Services (CCS) traveled to Newport, Rhode Island on December 7th for a meeting of the New England Chapter of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP). CCS President, Cailie Currin, is the AICP NE Chapter President and our Director of Corporate and Product Compliance, Sarah Huffer, is the AICP NE Chapter Treasurer.

After the business meeting concluded, attendees heard Kathy Donovan of Wolters Kluwer Financial Services deliver a speech on “Knowing Your Compliance Risks.” She outlined ways in which companies can manage and measure various compliance risks and targeted some areas where State regulatory agencies and legislative bodies will likely address in the coming year. A networking tour followed at “The Elms,” the gorgeous 1901 mansion of coal tycoon, Edward Julius Berwind, all decked out in holiday splendor.

For more information about AICP and the New England Chapter, please feel free to contact Cailie and/or Sarah or visit the AICP website for insurance links, AICP journal articles, and other resources.
