2015 IAdCA Conference a Great Success

The 2015 IAdCA (Insurance Advertising Compliance Association) conference is now history. It was held at the beautiful Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, CA. IAdCA’s Conference Committee never fails to select wonderful places for the annual event.

Five of us from CCS attended this year’s conference: Margaret, Glenda, Tricia, Kaycie, and myself. Glenda, Tricia and Kaycie had a very tough trip getting across the country, but they were active participants despite being exhausted from the travel. Glenda’s session on Field Force Compliance and Risk Mitigation was well attended and the positive feedback we received was that there should be similar sessions each year.

My session on Market Conduct, Disciplinary and other Regulatory Actions initiated an active discussion among participants on many of the issues raised. But as always, the informal interactions were, perhaps, the most important. We all had the chance to see old friends and colleagues as well as newer acquaintances.

I was co-chair of the Education Committee for the last two years and will again be co-chairing for the 2016 Conference. The Education Committee has responsibility for planning the sessions and lining up speakers for the next annual event. If you have any ideas about sessions you would like to see or speakers who would be a strong addition to the program, please contact me. Planning will begin soon for next year’s conference to make sure it is just as good as this year’s event. We hope to see you there!
